Logging into PTBoard
Q: I’m new to Mary Munford this year. How do I log into PTBoard?
A: If you’re new to Munford and/or PTBoard, you should have received an invitation email to join. To get started:
- Click the menu in the upper right corner of the PTBoard site
- Select “Sign Up”
- Request to be connected to Mary Munford
Student Connection Issues
Q: The email I use to log into PTBoard doesn’t show my child as a Mary Munford student.
A: PTBoard links students to parent accounts using the email addresses provided by RPS. Sometimes parents log in with a different email than the one RPS has on file. This year, we cross-checked RPS data with last year’s directory to correct as much as possible, but mismatches still happen.
- If your child isn’t showing up, contact us and we’ll add you to the correct class.
- To prevent future issues, consider updating your information directly with RPS.
Communicating with Your Class or Group
You can send individual messages to members of any class or group you belong to through the Message Center:
- Click your name in the upper right corner of PTBoard and choose “My Messages.”
- Select “Compose” to open a form with dropdown menus.
- Choose the class/group, then the individual you’d like to message.
- Note: You can only message one person at a time, not the entire group.
Messages are delivered through PTBoard to the recipient’s email. Replies will go directly to your inbox. You can also view your message history in the Message Center.
Need Additional Help?
If you have questions about PTBoard or the Student Directory, please use the Contact Admin button on the homepage.
Munford Student Directory – Verify Your Contact Information
Why This Matters - Directory data is uploaded from RPS records. Sometimes the information may be incomplete, incorrect, or include details you’d prefer not to share. That’s why it’s important to add, edit, or delete your information now!
What You Need to Do
- Go to the Student Directory and select the “My Student” tab at the top of the page.
- Review your listing(s) and make any additions, changes, or deletions so everything is accurate.
- If no information appears under “My Student,” click the green “Add a Student” button in the upper right corner to enter your details.
- Make sure the “Show in Directory” box is checked so your information is included.
Important for Email Mismatches
If the email you use for PTBoard is different from the one you used to register your child with RPS, you may have had to request PTBoard support to access your student’s class assignment. To fix this permanently:
- Fill out the change request form.
- Email the completed form to munfordabsent@gmail.com or drop it off at the Mary Munford office.
- If you don’t update your RPS record, the issue will continue.
Ongoing Updates
- You can edit your directory information at any time during the school year.
- PTBoard will always display the most up‑to‑date information provided by parents.
- For permanent changes to your contact information, you must also update your records with RPS through the Mary Munford office.
Please email use the Contact Admin Button on the homepage if you have questions about PTBoard or the Student Directory.
Q: Why can’t I view the Student Directory?
A: The directory will not be visible until it is officially published in mid to late September. Until then, you can only see your own student(s). This waiting period gives all families time to review, update, and decide whether to opt in or out of the directory.
- To check your student’s listing, go to Student Directory → My Student.
- Review the information and make any additions, changes, or deletions so it’s accurate when the directory goes live.
Q: Why isn’t my child visible to other families?
A: Each year, families must opt in for their child to appear in the directory. If you missed the opt‑in step or need to update your information, it’s not too late:
- Go to Student Directory → My Student.
- Update your details and check the box labeled “Show in Directory.”
- Once selected, your child will be visible to classmates and their families (helpful for things like birthday parties and playdates).
Need Help?
If you have questions about PTBoard or the Student Directory, please use the Contact Admin button on the PTBoard homepage.
Q: How do I know which class my child is in?
A: Go to Class & Group. You’ll see a list of teachers, but only your child’s teacher will appear as a clickable link. Be sure to click the class name itself, not the JOIN/UNJOIN button on the right. If you accidentally click UNJOIN, use Contact Admin button to be added back.
Q: How can I see who else is in my child's class?
A:
- Click into your child’s class assignment.
- Scroll down to the Documents section, where you’ll find a PDF of the class roster (names only).
- Once the Student Directory is published in September, you’ll also be able to view classmates by class, including parent contact information.
Q: Where can I find “Class & Group” in the PTBoard app?
A: The PTBoard app does not include Class & Group lists. To see class assignments, use a browser on your phone, tablet, or computer and go to marymunford.ptboard.com.
Q: What if I still don’t see my child’s teacher listed?
A: If you’ve logged out and back in but still don’t see your student’s teacher under Class & Group, it may be because:
- RPS does not have an email address on file for you, or
- The primary email listed with RPS does not match the one you use for PTBoard.
- In this case, you may have received an invitation email from PTBoard to register a different address. Do not register an email you don’t plan to use for PTBoard communications. Instead, use the Contact Admin button on the PTBoard homepage, and we’ll help get you set up.

Note: Wait Until 8th is not sponsored by Mary Munford or the PTA. Mary Munford is a school with active pledges, so we want to share this with caregivers so you can determine if this is a fit for your family.
Wait Until 8th empowers parents to say yes to waiting for the smartphone.
The Wait Until 8th pledge empowers parents to rally together to delay giving children a smartphone until at least the end of 8th grade. Let’s protect the elementary and middle school years from the distractions and the dangers of a smartphone. Banding together helps decrease the pressure to have a phone at an early age. Ten years old is the average age children get their first smartphone. You can change this!
Check the website for additional resources including how to talk to your children, how to talk to other parents, and to get more information.
